Stamping Dies & Precision Tooling Storage

Cut Die-Change Time

Dies stored on the floor are slow to locate and move between jobs. Organized rack storage keeps every die accessible by size or use, so changeovers move faster.

Protect Precision Tooling

Stacking heavy dies damages precision surfaces and shortens tool life. Engineered support holds each die securely, so condition and accuracy hold up over time.

Clear The Floor

Dies left on the production floor consume space and create hazards. Vertical rack storage reclaims square footage and keeps walkways and work areas open.

Handle Heavy Loads

We design around your die weights, crane or forklift access, and press-line layout. The result is a system that safely handles your heaviest tooling.

Die and tooling storage is engineered to your tooling and your shop floor. Below are common Dexco layout configurations, the structural specifications behind them, and how each works with your handling equipment. Every system is custom-designed by our engineering team.

Combination Wide Span Rack System

Full Aisle Wide Span System

  • Optimized die access during loading and unloading to speed up changeovers
  • Compatible with forklifts, cranes, hoists, and automated handling systems
  • Store dies in multiple orientations to match your production workflow
  • Heavy tooling held securely off the floor to reduce strain and accident risk
  • Organize by size, project, or use frequency so the right die is always reachable
Standard construction
  • Structural I-beam framing with bolt-together bracing for lateral rigidity
  • Engineered to support tooling loads from 2,000 to 80,000+ lbs per tier
  • Bolted shelf beams adjust in 4-inch increments as tooling needs change
  • Beams attach to columns with ASTM A325 structural bolts
  • Predrilled baseplates allow a secure anchor-bolt connection to the floor
  • Modular bays add easily; bundled columns and beams ship cost-effectively
  • Factory-applied powder-coat finish for rust and wear protection
Available options
  • Shelf-beam adjustment in 3-inch increments
  • Backstop beams to keep dies from being pushed off the back
  • Single or double-sided models
  • Open beams, solid decks, forklift entry bars, or removable panels
  • Oil catch pans for fluid containment and facility compliance
  • Hot-dip galvanized coating for corrosion protection
  • Standard designs for shorter lead times, or custom engineering for unique needs

Not sure which fits? Share your weights, diameters, and handling method, and we’ll recommend the right platform.

wide span rack configuration — extra deep with decking panels

Store stamping dies, molds, fixtures, and tooling in organized, individual locations. A flexible solution for a wide range of sizes, weights, and storage requirements.

Dexco floor beam coil rack

Keep heavy dies at ground level for direct loading with forklifts and cranes. Ideal for large tooling that doesn’t require elevated storage.

Provide open access for long tooling, fixtures, and specialized equipment—a practical solution when accessibility is the priority.
