Ross was formed in 1962 by Donald E. Speicher out of a passion for fabricating metal and a knack for developing creative technologies that challenge the status quo and advance product design. These founding principles have guided us for over five decades and remain at the core of what drives the company as we advance.

Our History
Ross opens operations as a steel fabrication shop in a re-purposed service station on Main St in Leola, PA.
Mack Truck awards Ross a major contract to manufacture frame components.
To meet the growing needs of industrial manufacturing, Ross launches its first product line- Structural Steel I-Beam Racking.
Ross purchases a second manufacturing plant on Maple Ave in Leola, PA increasing production space by 55,000 square feet.
Algrip® Slip Resistant Metal Floor Plate, manufactured by incorporating aluminum oxide into the rolling process, is launched as Ross’s second major product line.
Ross begins contract manufacturing utility vault covers for Consolidated Edison.
US Army Corp of Engineers awards Ross a 50 million contract to fabricate stainless steel wire panels for revetment mats used to control erosion on the Mississippi River.
Ross acquires Heflin Steel to add yet another major product line – DOS-certified Forced Entry / Ballistic Resistant and Blast Resistant Fenestration Products.
Home Depot awards Ross a contract to manufacture cantilever racks for stores nationwide.
Lowe’s awards Ross a contract to manufacture cantilever racks for stores nationwide.
Ross launches new Algrip technology, featuring a patented laser-welding process to advance product design.
Ross is awarded a contract to manufacture thousands of portable vehicle barriers for the Middle East war efforts.
